Italian experts visiting The Netherlands

The year 2012 started with a study visit to The Netherlands by the Tedaldi Layer Group and the Italian Animal Health Institute, guided by Kanters Italian distributor NST Italia. The group visited three layer farms with different aviary systems.

The first layer farm was owned by mr. Hubers (see picture), who was very helpful in sharing his experience with the system, animals and Kanters products. We have to congratulate mr. Hubers, as he has recently been appointed as chairman of the Dutch Organisation of Poultry Farmers (NOP), an organisation supporting the interests of Dutch poultry farmers.

The second visit was to Eierveiling Poederlee. At this two storey 4 groups farm, we were introduced to the Vencomatic Bolegg Terrace system by farmmanager mr. Ger de Haas. Afterwards we were welcomed at the Vencomatic showroom.

The next day Jansen Poultry Equipment showed their Comfort 2 INSIDE system. This system was operable at De Glind farm, where the young enthusiastic mrs. Kooloos runs a beautiful biological farm.

Last visit was at the Dutch Animal Health Service in Deventer, where we had an introduction to the pathology and microbiology sections.

All visitors highly appreciated our efforts to arrange these visits and went home tired but satisfied.
