What is chickpaper?

Invented by Kanters in our own broiler houses more than 20 years ago. Guides the day old chicks to water and feed within 4 hours!

 What to expect?

  • At least 10 grams extra weight gain after 7 days
  • Less risk on yolk sac infections
  • Higher water and feed intake
  • High rustling properties
  • Less dehydration after transport and better uniformity
  • Absorbs first secretions of day old chicks
  • Less labour, doesn’t need to be removed because of bio-degradabiilty

With arrival of day old chicks

Mode of action

When the chickens walk on the chickpaper, the paper makes a rustling noice which attracts the chickens. Because the paper is placed under the drinking lines and feed is put on top of the chickpaper, both water and feed are easy accessible for the day old chicks. Because our chickpaper is 100% bio-degradable it doesn’t need to be removed from the houses.
